The Department of Classical & Archaeological Studies offers a range of programmes: Ancient History, Classical Studies, and Classical & Archaeological Studies. The latter degree integrates history, excavation results, and material culture, with specialised options in fieldwork training. We have strengths in the archaeology of Egypt, Classical Greece, the Roman Empire, Late Antiquity, and Iron Age Europe, and share our ancient city with a great number of archaeology and heritage organisations.
